Gir Safari Planning Guide

Quick Answer: Gir travel should be built around the confirmed safari slot, reporting time and seasonal operation instead of adding the safari as an afterthought.

Planning approach

Use realistic drive times, current opening or darshan timings, hotel check-in, meal stops and seasonal conditions. The final route should be reviewed for the exact travel date rather than copied blindly from a generic schedule.

What to check before travel

Reconfirm attraction hours, permits, ferry or safari conditions where relevant, hotel availability and the final pickup/drop plan.
